Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: Job, education, health and development are people’s right

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who had campaigned for Congress in Amethi and Raebareli, the respective parliament constituencies of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, had addressed various Congress meetings and sought support for the Congress in Uttar Pradesh.

“In the last election, you had taken a correct decision by electing a Congress MLA from here, but Congress could not form the Government in the state. As a result, expected development could not take place in your region. Now you have an opportunity after 22 years to form a Congress Government in Uttar Pradesh,” said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressing a Congress meeting in Raebareli constituency.

The charismatic Congress leader then explained various Congress-led UPA policies. “You must have realized that the policies of the Congress led UPA Government at the centre are based on your rights. You must know that job, education, health and development are your rights. MNREGA is such a policy made by the Congress after identifying your rights,” Priyanka Gandhi said.

Priyanka Gandhi emphasized that making policies after identifying the rights of the people was not an obligation but it is the responsibility of the government to frame policies according to the needs of the people. “You need a politics that realizes this important fact. Everyone should understand that the meaning of politics is service and development. They should know that the people are concerned only about development”, reminded the Congress campaigner.
