Elections determine the future of the people and the state: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while speaking at a Congress rally in Sadar area of Raebareli as part of her Congress campaign in Uttar Pradesh said that election was very crucial as there is a necessity to get rid of the divisive politics and the anti-development state government. Priyanka Gandhi had campaigned in Amethi and Raebareli, the parliament constituencies of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi respectively.

Underlining the importance of elections, Priyanka Gandhi said “You know that there are serious issues in front of you. This election is not to elect your MLA or state Government but to determine the future of your children and the state. You have been experiencing the pathetic state of affairs in your state for the past two decades. You have been witnessing a negative politics which always negated you. There are a number of examples to prove my point”.

“You know that Sonia Gandhi, your M.P (of Congress), is sincere, dedicated and committed for development and she has been taking all the possible measures for the betterment of Raebareli. The Congress led UPA government has done a lot of work like cleaning of the water canals, erecting electric poles and wiring, in this region. But the non-Congress state government is not co-operating with the Congress-led Centre. It is very clear that no development would be possible without the support of the state government,” reminded Priyanka Gandhi.

The Congress leader asserted that UP now needs a Congress government to ensure development and betterment.
