Reiterating that that the successive non-Congress Governments in Uttar Pradesh over the last twenty two years have ignored the issues of the people and development of the state, Congress start campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that what UP needs now is a politics of development. Uttar Pradesh is slipping back at present because of rampant corruption and misrule by these non-Congress parties over these years, said Priyanka Gandhi. The present opportunistic politics in UP based on caste or religion is not the kind of politics we should follow. She further said and reminded the people that this election is crucial for the development of the state and your future. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also asserted that that Congress (I) campaign spearheaded by its young General Secretary Rahul Gandhi was aiming at overall development of the state. Priyanka Gandhi also explained that Congress (I)-led UPA government at the Centre has brought out a lot of policies for the welfare of the aam aadmi but funds under these schemes sent to the state are being misused by the state Government. The Congress star campaigner assured that Congress (I) is believes in inclusive growth and committed to work for all section of the people without any discrimination. Priyanka Gandhi also promised the people that their vote for Congress (I) would be vote for progress and development of the state.
